Zambrero is Mexican with a mission:
A healthy quick-service restaurant franchise and humanitarian enterprise committed to tackling world hunger through its Plate 4 Plate initiative. Zambrero’s menu is healthy, modern Mexican with burritos, tacos, nachos and quesadillas all made with the freshest ingredients and fresh ideas.

Zambrero was founded in Braddon, Canberra in Australia in 2005 by Dr Sam Prince. Now, Zambrero has over 160 restaurants globally across Australia, New Zealand Thailand and Ireland.

Our menu is healthy, modern and fresh. Developed by Dr Sam Prince and using nutritious, superfood ingredients, our menu is easily customised and can be made gluten and dairy free, vegetarian and vegan friendly.

But it's not just the fresh ingredients that make our product so great... We are passionate about innovation to keep up with our customer demands and ensure we surprise and delight them in everything we do.

Our team works tirelessly with our suppliers to ensure that everything we do, from the treatment of our meat, right down to our packaging is sustainable and ethical. Zambrero customers can feel good in the knowledge that 100% of all chicken is purchased from the Australian supplier Cordina, and is RSPCA Approved.

In regards to Zambrero’s food packaging, it is certified carbon neutral, made from sustainably sourced and rapidly renewable sugar cane pulp that reduces C02 emissions.

Plate 4 Plate is Zambrero’s way of tackling world hunger. For every burrito or bowl (all the goodness of a burrito without the tortilla) a customer purchases at Zambrero, a plate of food is donated to someone in need in the developing world.

At Zambrero, we also want to make a difference to people doing it tough in Australia. So, for every super food muesli bar or packet of black rice a customer purchases from our retail range, Zambrero will donate a breakfast meal to an under privileged Australian community.

Each year in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, Zambrero invites a small group of individuals to witness and experience how the Plate 4 Plate program helps make a difference to the lives of those living in the developing world.

In 2016, the group was sent to Dumaguete, Philippines to meet the recipients of the meals first hand. Watch the video and experience it yourself.
